Yes and I have made them with colored water too; that doesn't change the taste but it is still fun. I have made them with root beer too. You are right, they do taste good.

On a serious note; I know they can be addicting but people who have the desire to chew ice and icy things have often been found to be anemic. If you have the desire to chew ice often, please have your doctor check you for anemia. I know you said you are overweight but that does not mean a thing - you still could be anemic. The last friend I had who was anemic was normal weight and hardly ever ill (other than a chronic back injury) and her doctor checked her for anemia and she was very anemic. A co-worker suggested she get tested because she would chew ice and when she left work she would go to the lounge and get a cup of ice for her drive home.

As a child, my Mom would make us Root Beer Ice Cubes. Also, with Koolaid, she would make Cherry ones. And they were wonderful on a hot, summer day.

evaluate a punch bowl set in an more advantageous bowl full of ice to maintain the punch cool, sorta like a opposite buffet warming dish. As for flowers, i might bypass with lavender or lilac flowers(compliment champagne ok). Nasturtiums are additionally a tremendously looking, fit to be eaten flower in case you will detect them. i'm unsure i might attempt to freeze flowers into the punch, they are going to finally end up as a soggy wilted addition to the travellers glasses. i might shoot for a candied flower to garnish the glass rims, ideally a candied rose petal or different fit to be eaten.
