Not a good idea in the future. The commissioner really needs to be free of any holdings so that he can make decisions in the best interest of all the owners and the game itself. No need to be tempted by a potential conflict. Selig is getting high marks from the other owners and MLB has set new attendance each of the last four years under his watch.

Like he owned the expos?
Bud Selig is a moron.

Lets add two teams to each league,
move the Brewers to the NL,
then buy out the expos and try to contract them along with the twins.

That's nice, why bring in an AL team to try to remove the Twins.
Devil Rays for the Twins... Ha!

You know he "had to" have a team to move from the AL to NL for his own interests. He wanted Milwaukee to have an NL team.

George W. Bush was right (for once) saying that he's only the acting commissioner and that the position was VACANT.

No, he shouldn't even "lend" $40 million to buddies such as Jeffrey Loria to buy the Marlins after conspiring against the Expos and selling them to the other 29 owners.
