yes---i don't think she was ever diagnosed BUT she is. I have learned to not take anything she says seriously and not argue about it either. because she reallllllllly doesn't' think that she is lying. talk to your parents about getting him help.

Unfortunately, before I was married to my present husband, I was
married to a pathological liar and he was extremely abusive. My
daughter turned out just like him. God is good as I am happily
married now. My ex's lies caused the death of my son. He lied about
me and tried to ruin my reputation. But, God will deal with him when
the time is right.

I have a relative who is a pathological liar. You just want to put a fist through their nose but you have to be kind and nod at the appropriate times.

a great question, many pathological liars exist,my experience with kids is to be frank with them,if he is still a kid.
In any case,I have told adults I know what they're up to,and it falls on dead ears.
Kids seem easier to get through to,even if it takes peer pressure, the hard way, they know I'm not believing the b.s. either.

Good question, so I looked this up for you. (I read the story and thought this is in good taste and should shed some light into your slight problem with your loved family member ;-)
I hope this might help your position in the most caring manner towards your brother.

I've never been close to one, but I've been around them. Your situation is a tough one, but I guess the only thing that you can do is simply not believe a single thing that comes from there mouth.

No, I don't. Just because he is family does not mean you have to be a huge part of his life!

My mother is one. You just learn to disbelieve everything until someone else confirms it, but you don't confront them about it. That just leads to more lies.
