Your baby may weigh about two pounds now (average is 1.7 pound, 760gm) and is 14 inches (35.6cm) in length
To support the fetus's growing body, the spine is getting stronger and more supple. Though no longer than the span of the average adult hand, it is now made up of 150 joints, 33 rings, and some 1,000 ligaments.

This sounds just dandy, Your doctor would have told you if they thought anything was wrong. When I was 28 weeks my baby weighed in at 2lbs 5 ozs. I think youre baby is doing just fine. And even if that does sound sort of light/heavy remember that ultrasounds arent right on, he/she could weigh more or less. A good website to visit that'll give you week by week insite, is www.i-am-pregnant.com, I love it, visit it all the time!! Congrats and best of luck to you!

Yes, Most weight is gained by baby in the last month of pregnanacy. Go to a site like www.babycenter.com and click on their pregnancy links. they go week byweek and tell you about how big the baby is and what you should be feeling and such. I love this web site it is very informative.

all babies vary in size, but it sounds normal. If you were 32 weeks and still under 3 lbs I would be concerned.

Yep. They gain LOTS in those last couple of months, especially the last month (my son doubled weight in the last month).

Why didn't you ask the doctor ?
He/she would have said anything if something was not right.
Call the doctor tomorrow and ask.
Congrats.
