I live in Seven Hills in Henderson and you can see the stars very well here.
Take eastern ave east as far as you like.

If you mean celeb stars -- Rain at the Palms, and Pure at Caesar's palace attracts celebu-trash like Brit & Paris.

If you mean celestial starts, you won't see much in Vegas. The light pollution from all the lights on the strip and elsewhere makes it impossible to see. You'd have to really take a trip out of the area to the desert to see that. Here is a link to a place north of the city with an observatory. Hope it helps.

lol, you want to go star gazing in a city that probably produces the most light pollution in the entire country? Try driving a couple of miles south down hwy 15 where the elevation gets higher and you're closer to the mountains.

Go to Mt. Charleston - it's on the "other" side of the Mtns from the city, so you don't have the lights. Get away from the campgrounds and it's as pitch black as the inside of a cave, plus at 14,000ft the air is thin and clear. Go up there on a clear night and you are in for an awesome sight.

Head on up to Mt Charleston. Its only about 30 minutes from Vegas but its like you're in a totally different place.
