I inherited 1500 Life magazines going back to 1936, all in good condition. Where is the best place to sell them? Thanks!

Do a search on eBay for the magazine and see if other people are interested in purchasing some or all of them for their collection. There are over 2,400 Life magazine items on eBay at this time. You can determine interest by the number of people bidding. Most likely one individual will not want all 1,500 magazines. That is an extremely large amount. It is difficult to maintain magazines in good condition for very long without storing them properly. I had a large collection of National Geographic magazines and donated them to a local public school to be distributed among the classes. I also donated a collection of books on Viet Nam to a local university. You could contact one in your area.

You might list them on craigslist and see if a dealer contacts you regarding them. It wouldn't hurt to get one or two opinions on their worth and then sell for the best price.

I would research ebay and see what different copies are going for there. Then maybe even sell them there or some other auction site.

I would contact LIFE to find legitimate dealers. You wouldn't want to get ripped off!
