Might just be something to do with giving birth. Watch it for a few days. Also I would put the babies in a baby saver net. They fit right in near top of aquarium. The other fish will eat them. The mother will too. You can get the baby savers at pet store. Keep them in it until they are big enough not to fit in the other fishes mouths.

It is a birth function but still watch it because it can get sick go to this website 4 info

www.petco.com

then go to fish then aquatic life search until you see a mollie of any type click on it go down click on care sheet then click save to certain place then read it it tells you about the sickness and all tother things

GOODLUCK :)

its probably from giving birth to a lot of fish. It might be to keep the black molly alive after birth. Don't forget to save the eggs in case the fish might eat them

it could be stress because she moved before giving birth. There is a conditioner that i use for stress and to remove harmful chemicals that can come from the water. It's from Tetra (the brand).

Good luck on your fry.

Hi I can't help with this answer, because it is my boyfriend who breeds our mollies. I can however tell you about a website that he uses. You can email the website operator and he can tell you almost anything from a detailed description. If you don't get anymore info, try this guy!
