it's not her b-day or anyting special. i just want to get her something b/c she's coming to visit and i want her to be really happy. b/c she is misable. i want it to be thoughtful and from the heart. i don't want to get her a gift card or anything like that.
she likes a bunch of things so it's kinda hard. but kinda not.
please help!

My son is pretty artistic and he makes gifts for his friends for their birthdays. One of my favorites is this. Buy a small wooden box (sometimes you can get them at the Dollar Store) and decorate it. You can also buy wooden letters to glue on it with your friend's name, paint it, glue pictures to it ... use your imagination. Inside, put a special shell, potpourri or soaps. If you are creative, write her a poem telling her all the things you love about her.

if it's a woman a gift card for shopping, if it's a man a gift card to best buy, cash is also good $50-$100.
