I think its great! If they were all dimpled up it would detract from what is being sold. Good marketing.
i just returned from long enjoying the show, most are just as pretty either way, some make a good point of putting on your best face always. Thanks

I had no idea to what extent the admen edited these pictures until my brother showed me photos of the pin-up girl for the local gin ad (Ginebra San Miguel). The kid (yes, a 15 year old) was all baby fat, but had large breasts and that was enough to make her their model. For the poster ads, they gave her a wasp waist and lightened her skin tone (she brown as can be, normal for a Filipina). The full lips were natural though, but if I saw her walking down the street, I would not think she was a model. *I* look more like a model, by comparison.
Yes, airbrushing is deceptive, and young people should be made aware of it. The paparazzi do a great job of photographing celebrities minus the make-up and wearing daggy clothes (unfortunately, at the expense of the celebrity's privacy. But they should realize that that's the down side of celebrity and just cope with it.)
I once saw a poster in an "Esprit" store on Orchard Road (Singapore), where the model had a grotesquely long neck. I was arguing with my brother whether the model actually looks that way. His opinion was "yes" -- which was surprising, since he studied as a graphics artist himself. He just had such a warped idea of natural beauty. Well, maybe it has been fixed: his wife is quite plain, but a very kind and good natured woman.

wow isn't it amazing! there are normal people under all that cover up!! I don't believe in photo-shoping pictures like that, if they are going to be broad casted and such... It gives teens a distorted reality, causing many health issues like anorexia in some... They should have to label the pic with some sort of icon to show it has been altered, that would help children realise that they are fine just how they are...
But you also have to consider the models and celebs... Under the microscope, day after day, with people trying tomake them look bad and pick out they're flaws. I dont agree with that either... They are normal people, and everyone has 1 change to make it or break it, some make it, some don't... They just made a few right decisions, were ambitious and the rest you know...

I think it's dreadful. I'd look like a model if I were airbrushed too. I feel badly for women and girls who get fluffed up like that and then have to look in the mirror to see what they really look like. And then there's the issue of men and boys who think real women should look like those magazines. I know a guy who took years to realize that real women are not 34DD and flawless. He missed out on a lot of wonderful women looking for some fake ideal. How sad.

I think it's a false advertisement. No one is perfect, and guys will look at girls no matter what, so why give the false sense of perfection to the young girls striving to be like the models.

I don't think nothing is wrong with it. It's a part of modeling. People are trying to sell a product and want a "flawless" model.

Natural beauty is the best. No need to air brush. You can't make someone look more perfect than they are. Everyone is equally beautiful.

It's just sad. And even sadder that the majority of teen girls don't realize that what they are looking at is fake, yet they are striving to be like the models....
Kudos to those models and celebrities who don't allow it!

the thing is, us women know how most celebrity bombshells are really hideous under the ton of make-up, but tell that 2 man & they will immediately think we’re lying coz we’re jealous, & they will keep drooling over them.
