In North Carolina where I work in a pharmacy, the sudafed products have to be purchased in the pharmacy only where we have to record your drivers license information and the total grams purchased. Our front registers will not scan these products at all.

It is. Where I shop at home, it's handled back in the pharmacy. But when I was up in NY, it was all handled at the front counter. Whatever works....as long as I can still get it when I need it!!!!

Yes, I believe it is. Unfortunately, while most of us want to buy it because we're stuffed up and we still want to get through our day w/out feeling like we've got jello in our heads, there's bad people out there that want to use it to make meth.
