I don't know for certain but I think the side effects from the shots should have worn off by now. My baby's only lasted two days at the most, with the worst wearing off after the first 12 hours or so. I only give tylenol at the beginning, right before she gets the shots, and maybe a dose or two afterwards to combat the aches and slight fever.
I was told not to overdo the tylenol, because it could reduce the effectiveness of it. I was told this when I asked about it for teething and the dr suggested I wait til a tooth broke through. Maybe your baby is cranky for other reasons...a growth spurt or even teething? I would hold off on the tylenol.

It should be ok to give him some tylenol. But when my son got his 1st shots I was told by the docs to him motrin for infants for the pain and fever. But yeah, if he gets cranky there's nothing wrong with giving him a very small dose. But don't just give him meds to make him be quiet, be sure he needs it. Just be sure to watch if he gets more cranky and if he starts to run a fever.

My daughter got a dose of tylenol with her first shots at the doc's office. From then on... they've always said no tylenol unless there's a fever. If your son seems to not be feeling good, I'd call his pediatrician.

My daughter seemed fine after her first set of shots.....for the first few days. After a few days, the side effects kicked in. She was cranky and fussy. He might still be in pain.
My daughter had the knots on her thighs for a few weeks after the appointment. They tell you to massage them, but you can tell it caused discomfort. I gave my daughter a dose (the same amt as in the dr office) when she seemed miserable.
Tylenol is a fever reducer and a pain reliever. It won't hurt him, as long as you follow the guidelines.

Call your pediatrician. Your baby shouldn't still be feeling bad. Don't just keep giving him medicine! He could be having an allergic reaction, but if so it's a mild one. Just be safe and call. That's why they're there. Pediatricians know that new mom's are going to call htem about every little thing, and it's ok! Call them right now!
