Most lotions are mostly water. What works for me? Palmer's coco butter or shea butter balm (not the cream; it's in a jar and you have to scoop it out) or, if you don't mind the smell or cost use 100% all natural shea or coco butter, both if you choose. Extra Virgin Olive oil also helps. Your skin stretches whenever you gain or lose weight. The secret is to keep skin well moisturized so that when this happens your skin maintains its elasticity. Usually when skin stretches it itches, so when you find your self itching in the area try moisturizing first rather than scratching.

Nothing short of surgery will remove stretch marks. Shea butter or cocoa butter or mederma lotion are the only things that you can try to help minimize the formation of stretch marks, but it's not guaranteed. You can also keep your weight gain steady to minimize them.
If I were you, I'd get used to the idea of having stretch marks. They are a natural and normal part of pregnancy and are nothing to be worried about. They are your "merit badges" for going through pregnancy! Be a proud mother!
Besides, people expect you to have them. It's no big deal and they fade significantly as time goes by.

Nope - there is nothing you can do about stretch marks. They happen b/c your body is growing at such a fast rate. The elasticity of your skin (how well it naturally stretches) will determine whether or not your get stretch marks. You can put on all the lotion you want and could still get stretch marks. Sorry. Good luck!

Unfortunatly Lotion will not do anything. It's genetics. Continue to gain weight SLOWLY and do not go over your recommended weight gain (set by Dr/OB), other then that, realize they are badges of honor for having a baby.
They will fade.

some people are just predisposed to stretch marks, it's not fair, it just is. There are many lotions out there that are effective in making them less. I don't think you get away with none.

There is absolutely nothing you can do. Just hope you won't get on your belly (harder to hide).
I got them, luckily nowhere else. I used cocoa butter daily on my belly and I can't swear it worked or not but at least it kept my skin nice and soft.
BTW, can you vote for my girl. She is a finalist and we need some support..TY
