I stopped playing for a few months, and got back into it, and am studying like crazy, and now i'm extremely good, like i'm making such Massive improvement it's unbelievable that i even played as horribly as I did. Why am I doing so much better, after I stopped practicing?

well, since you had your mind off it for a while it could have helped. before you probably worried too much about executing strategies correctly while now you play with your mind, and not with guidelines.

Because you are studying like crazy; you've answered your own question. In general, learn the ideas behind the openings you play rather than memorize lines. Study tactics and endgames and you will become stronger still.

Like any problem that is a sticking point, sometimes it is good to walk away and do something else for a while. I think that you have had time to reflect and gain a new perspective on the game.

By playing routinly u will tend to lose. But after a break u get fresh energy and fresh approach that will give u good results.

Your play is more relaxed. If you don't care you can take risks and play better than if you avoid all risk out of fear of losing.
