There are two kind of psychics.
The first group consists of those who honestly believe (despite evidence to the contrary) that the psychic phenomenon exists. These are known as true believers. They usually have a very limited understanding of logic and science.
The other group consists of outright frauds. These people are aware that psychic powers don't exist but use deceptive and criminal techniques to fleece gullible people (true believers) of their money. I believe Sylvia Browne belongs in this second group.
I used to feel sorry for true believers who get taken to the cleaners by parasites like Browne, but after seeing how much energy people like myself have wasted trying to convince the true believers that psychic powers don't exist, I am starting to lean toward the idea that some people fool themselves and deserve to be taken for their money. It doesn't make it right, but as the saying goes, you can lead a horse to water...

I used to be mighty impressed by her but then she said that those miners buried under were dead and it turned out they were alive even though they were many days underground. After this I stopped believing her. It seems to me she just guesses what is the most probable outcome. Everyone thought those miners couldnt possibly be alive so Sylvia went along with the most probable outcome and turned out completely wrong.

Sometimes psychic can get a false reading. I believe she does have a gift, but as with anything you can not be 100% all the time.

Well, a lot of gullible people still do else she wouldn't be a successful marketer of books, tapes and false promises.

Certainly not. No psychics can foretell the future, at least so far as all of the available evidence is concerned. Further, foretelling the future or channelling from dead people would totally contracdict many physical laws.

naw, she is a complete fake. She is just trying to get rich and famous off of people who will believe anything, and it seems that is a large crowd.

Sumtimes she sounds pretty convincing yet at other times her answers and statements are just too general to be believed. So no, I think she's a fraud

I believe she exists, certainly.
My credulity stops there, however.

frankly ,I'm not interested on Sylvia, but it is strange that you are a contributor in physics, and at the same time asking for
her,so at the end i assume your question might be redirected
to the Randi point of view, that would make more sense to me,
at the end he needs her in order to raise his ratings,so i rather not waste my time on this 'issue' that at the end is like a 'crusade"
