Yuck. They taste like warm worms. Not that I know what warm worms taste like, but I can imagine.
Once a buddy of mine had a hunger for potato salad. He didn't have any potatoes, so he crushed a bunch of potato chips and mixed them with salad dressing. He said it was not great. lol

they're horrible but if you heat them in the oven, it sorta works.
