I could have sworn during my last pregnancy they told me to sleep on my right side only...
but now I was told that you can sleep any way you want up until 20 weeks or it becomes uncomfortable.
A tip that they taught us in my birthing class was to lay on your side with your bottom leg straight out and your top leg bent on top of a pillow. It seemed comfortable in the class, but I could never get comfortable that way at home...maybe it will be more helpful for you if you decide to give it a try!

If you must have to sleep a lil leaning on your side more than on your belly. The best position ever to sleep is on your left side b/c it's better flow for your blood which is good for oxygen and best for baby. Gets lots of extra pillows. I myself am 20 wks. and i sleep w/pillow behind my back, under my belly, between my knees and a few under my head...and it only gets worse. You will find when you get further along that your belly is no longer a choice. =o)

Yes, It is safe on your stomach but will get uncomfortable as you get bigger. It is BEST to sleep on you left side, but bottom line is, sleep however you are most comfortable. Actually sleeping is more important then which side.

No you cant, its not really safe for the baby, and i doubt that if you KNOW you are pregnant that you would even consider doing that. Sleep on your left or right side with a pillow between your knees and behind ur back

Only until it becomes uncomfortable. Sideways was the best for me with a pillow under my tummy. On your back makes you snore.
