That's what i look like, i have about 80% of white genes in me and about 20% black/hispanic, and i moved from Canada (a accepting country to people like me as far as i know to Norway, a Norse country.
I have experienced open racism here once, when the mother of my ex girlfriend made racial slurs about me, but other then that, nothing.
But i know that there are a LOT of white supremacists and Neo-Nazis here in Norway, and in Europe in general.
So i dont really feel accepted at all, by stereotype of how someone in a race should be i am white, i play electric guitar, listen to Metal, i am inteligent and i have learned the white culture (even though i dont think that those things have anything to do with race!)
The point is, i would feel alienated anywhere in this world except for where i was born, in South America/Brazil.
I just dont really know what to do...

I have MANY white friends though, in real life and on the internet, but even knowing that, i still feel like a bit of an outsider, even when dating a white girl, which is why im starting to want to date Latino women more, but i cant help it, i love white women from what i have experienced (no i am not excluding other womens from other races, i have girlfriends of every race i can imagine)

Unfortunately, if you're not white in this world, you have to prove to everyone that you're not less of a person just because you're not white. So when you open your mouth, always say something profound, so you can embarrass them that you're better than what they think you are. Arm yourself with knowledge and wisdom. That's just the way the world is. And don't place any importance in whatever slurs they hurl at you. There's so much life has to offer, regardless of your race, if you will only dedicate yourself to learning.

I live in Los Angeles, and compared to other places in the states, it's bomb. Many, many different people and ideas.
Try moving to a diverse city. Be open-minded. Stand tall above the people who have sunk so damn low. Take care.

We have racism here in the states. We are changing to a very mixed bunch of people. But, you still hear people say their racist opinions. I am sorry. I wish the world were different. But, no matter what, you will find people who will accept you for who you are. There is not a thing wrong with you. Actually some may be jealous of your good looks. Hold your head up and be proud of who you are.

where did you get this percentage thing?80%-20%...you should be proud of your rich background given to you by your mom and dad.there will be a day when problems you mentioned will be history for all.it will take time but just go on with your life ,enjoy interaction with everyone.you see you have a gift so many dont.you can look at races in a fair and non-judgmental manner and see the right and wrong better than most.just be proud of what you are .

I think you're a very beautiful person. In fact, if all people were interracial, we would all be physically beautiful.. I'm sorry you have experienced racism. Try not to let it get you down. I really wish it didn't interfere so much in your life that you have to address it on Yahoo answers. I wish that being multi racial was just who you were and that's that. I wish I wish... oh well, hold your head up and be proud of who you are. Your predecessors would appreciate it.

There's no place like home. I guess if I were you, I'd cheer myself up by making plans to move back to Brazil someday. It'd be warmer than Norway physically and metaphorically. :-)

so you want to be white? when did being intelligent become a white thing? just remember that you will never be excepted because of your 20% dark skin, so mate just live black but you want to live white but you cant because your not white, remember the one drop theory? so as far as im concerned you are black and will always be black no matter how white you want to be.
