Hiccups is normal, it's a good sign that they're thriving. You can't stop them but when the baby is older, drinking water usually helps. I had my baby girl drinking water at about 3 weeks.

this is normal - my baby hiccuped a lot in utero. Now I try to help my month-old baby by putting him on the breast -- it works every time!

Try giving your baby a few (3-4) drops of lemon juice. It works like a charm. Since it's such a small amount, it hardly reaches the stomach, so you don't really need to worry about it.
Hope it works for you.
