Planned parenthood, Goodwill, thrift stores. Save whatever your budget will allow, even just a few bucks a week. And keep a jar and at the end of the day, put any leftover monies into it. Use this to buy baby stuff after you have a babyshower. For b-day/Christmas (if you celebrate) presents, ask for money or baby stuff.
Kudos on keeping the baby. It's always tough in the beginning, but things will work out.
God Bless and Good Luck. You are in my prayers.
Don't listen to any of the idiots, like Bee132.
Shame on you Bee132.

I am now married and my husband and I just had a baby together but before I was married I was a single mother of an 8 year old and was left pregnant and I thought financially my world would end. it didn't and yours won't
If you don't have a job get one. I respect a man who works cleaning toilets over a man sitting on his ***.
Babies out grow things so fast that you don't need much to get started.
Go to the thrift stores and shop do what you have to do be the man and work.
I did it and my son was only two weeks when I went back to work because I was alone with two kids and had bills and I had to do it. I did not want to leave my kids with a sitter so young but I wanted them to eat so I did what I had to do.
If for what ever reason she cant work you better get two jobs something.

Your wife can start receiving WIC (if you qualify financially, which it sounds like you will). It'll help with some of your groceries. (Milk, cheese, cereal, juice, peanut butter, dried beans, carrots and tuna). The money that you DON'T spend on those groceries could go into a savings account.
There's plenty of time to hit some garage sales. You can find GREAT stuff for cheap. Playpens, highchairs, clothes, bottles, blankets, cribs.... Just be sure to wash and/or sterilize anything you buy second hand.
Have a baby shower (or two). Friends and family can help you out with alot of stuff. Just don't be greedy or EXPECT people to get you things.
Start signing up for FREEBIES. You can get tons of stuff online. Formula, diaper samples, wipie samples. Check your local hospital for any free classes they may give. You can sometimes get some good freebies during those classes.
That's a start. I hope it helps. I need all my baby stuff, so I can't send you any of mine. Sorry.

If you can just put aside 15-20 dollers every pay check, it will add up enough before your bundle gets here to get the things you need. Good Luck and you can also try your local woman hope center if you have one in your area, the ones in Louisiana help mothers with supplies they made need for the baby or for mom...

There is a yahoo group called freecycle. Go to www.freecycle.org to find the group in your area. They have them all over the USA. We have found a lot of things we need for our baby to be born the end of sept.
Good luck!

Try freecycle.org find a few surrounding cities and join. I received a lot of my baby stuff through this.
btw: I am a single mom, raising my daughter on my own, no assistance. It can be tough, but she has everything that she needs.
Don't listen to the ignorant people like bee....You will be wonderful parents!

Go to www.craigslist.com.......Then click on your home state....Once u do that, click on the city that u live in...This site is great for finding ads from ppl who are selling their stuff.....Especially baby items that they do not need anymore, want to get rid of, or were never used, for greatttttt prices! I was able to buy a bundle of items from a fellow couple whom had a baby also, but their lil baby girl had outgrown....We got a carseat with it's base, baby stroller, baby Ocean Wonders bouncer (great for putting baby in it to be entertained by the soothing music, while u do home chores*), Boppy pillow (aids in breastfeeding and helping baby sit up on it's own*), carseat head support pillow, and a baby swing.....All for $110!!!! And all of this stuff was in almost brand new appearance!!! Nothing was damaged, worn, dirty, or broken....And the nice thing is, is that u can contact the person who is selling a certain baby item, and give them ur offer for it (for example, they are asking $30 on a baby swing, but u can offer to pay $20 on it, and see what they say....Most of the time, because they want to get rid of the swing, they will sell u the swing for the price u offered*).....Many ppl there sell anything from baby bottles, clothes, swings, bouncers, cribs, crib bedding, strollers, carseat, playpens, baby toys, shoes, bottle warmers, baby wipes warmer, even formula!!!! For VERY reasonable, cheap prices! And many of them include a pic. of the item they want to sell....All u have to do is look at the item, and send/contact them with an email to let them know u are interested.....One thing though, u will probably have to drive urself to get the item that u and the seller agreed on....Me and my Hubby have gone on this site numerous times for other items, and it is AWESOME! Hope all goes well......Also! See about any family members that may have baby items, and want to get rid of them....Hand-me downs are not as bad as ppl may think..Especially with baby clothes....Babies grow out of the clothes so fast, and many of them get soiled....So having brand-name clothes, or fancy-looking clothes is not a big need....Comfort and convenience is a must for baby's clothes! Having a baby is such a blessing, but I do have to admit, they do require alot of stuff! =)_ Congratulations on the baby that is on it's way, enjoy the pregnancy to the max!!!! Good luck! =)

Although I completely understand and commend you for trying this out (hopefully you get some good stuff!) but I would go to the thrift store and buy second hand stuff. You really don't need as much stuff as you think or everyone tells you you'll need.
