Yes, sounds like you broke your hymen. That's nothing, nor is losing your virginity. You didn't "lose" anything. Everything is still there except a thin membrane. Big deal. He's probably all hopped up about it as boys get when this happens.
Be careful being sexually active. Make him wear a condom. No mistakes. You have a future and you don't want to get pregnant and spoil your future and the future of another human being, a baby. Good luck!

You have ruptured your hymen. That was the cause of the bleeding. Technically, and type of penetration from a penis, whether full or partial is considered sexual penetration. So yes, you have lost your viriginity and so has your boyfriend.
