Helo, i'm 15, to begin with, I have not commited any crimes. Thank god. But If i get arrested I would like the opyion of picking prisons, because I know some prisons are better than others. For example Washington State is better than Michigan State.
I really don't want to be arount too much ghetto people, illegal immigrants and rednecks, because they are tasteless and illegal immigrants that are classless.
I would prefer a rison with taste, affluence and well off people. They are just so much easier to be around. I MUST have my own room, also, and most importantly my own showering unit.
I really don't care if you have to pay to choose your prison, my fathers rich anyways, so not an issue.

I guess I can deal with the prison food. I like all foods, and plus prison food isn't even nasty.

No you don't get to choose. Getting convicted of a felony is not that same as picking a college. It doesn't really matter either. You would get the same special attention in the showers regardless of which state penial institution it is.

Your parent's money makes absolutely no difference what prison you end up in, if you are convicted. The only difference money makes is
* quality of lawyer you can afford
* being able to have a private investigator help your lawyer
* whether or not you are able to make bail, or have to sit in an overcrowded jail awiting on the trial
* after you are in prison, perhaps Daddy will supply you with money that you can use to bribe other inmates to provide you with some protection against other inmates who might otherwise harm you
If you fight tooth and nail to be found innocent, then they will send you to whatever prison is convenient for the government, based on the nature of the crime, and how full up the prisons are.
If you plea bargain, agree to plead guilty, saving the government the expense of a trial, you can then request that they put you in a prison that is convenient for your family to visit you.
If the crime is in a particular state, you will probably go to a prison in that same state.
You will probably have to share a cell with 1 or more other inmates, who might not be politte, gentle. You might get raped on a daily basis.
The cell has a toilet, and anyone using it can be looked at by other people in same cell, sometimes adjacent cells, the cell across the way, and the guards walking outside the cells.
The showers are kind of public, where a bunch of inmates are in there naked at the same time, no privacy.

Yes, you can choose. You can use your father's Reward Points from travel, or his credit card, and share a cell with 6'6" 380lb child molester that thinks you have a "purdy mouth". Maybe if your daddy pays him enough, he will only rape you 2-3 times a day.
This question was obviously posted to irritate people, which illustrates some emotional/mental problems on your behalf. If you are actually serious with this question...I hope you find out the answer personally. You need an education.

No you dont get to chose. but once in you can put in for a transfer of the prison you might want to go to for reasons of closeness to your family.. once in jail money dont matter anymore, you get an amount that family can send in order to survive and get maybe a TV in your cell. a fan. smokes, stuff like that, but once convicted your money means absolutely nothing to the inmates or guards of any state prison, you better toughen up before going too, you are gonna need to protect yourself. if you are planning some sort of a demented crime that is going to end you up in prison i suggest rethinking it because prison is no cake walk... no summer camp... and yes some people are a little over exaggerating with the rape .. but it is possible. just keep your *** walking the line and you wont have to worry about these types of questions

Wake up and smell the roses kid. You can't determine where you will go to Jail. The Department of Correction does take this decission for you. They will determine who a criminal will end up!
