Let's see an on line affair, so you are not physically touching or anything, just typing. Nope - not against the law, but against moral values if either of you are married.

Depends on the state in which you live, but California has no fault divorce, which means it doesn't matter what you did it won't count against you

So are we to guess that you are having an affair? Seems you are quite anxious to find an answer to this.

Is having an affair in person against the law? It works both ways for divorce court. In person or not. An affair is were the mind is.

It's only against the law if the person is under age.
But the evidence of an online affair could be used against you in divorce court.

Having an affair is not against the law and it is not a felony unless YOU ARE MARRIED.

Having a affair in anyway is against the law in a Biblical sense.

I've never heard that one. In some states adultery is a criminal offense, but in many even that isn't illegal...just grounds for divorce.

Are you planning to have (or are having) an online affair? What goes around, comes around...even if it's not illegal, the cosmos will have its justice. Be prepared.

You should call the authorities and find out what the law is in your area. Maybe ask your spouse to help you find the answer.

So you are only interested in whether you can be prosecuted for breaking the law and not for breaking your marriage vows and the laws of morality? Am I understanding that right? Interesting.
