Susie Fogelson said she was ticked b/c Jag bashed FoodTV for not having a latino chef or latino based program...
well, he was right! he is right- there is no color on that network. there used to be on AA guy that did deserts, there used to be a daily show with rotating cooks and now they have what looks like a Latina with simply delicioso but since Ming Tsai left the network there has been no one of color- does anyone else see nothing but white on this network or am i being dramatic?
I love food tv and HER comment ticked me off b/c Jag said exactly what'd been thinking for the past 2 years.
and does anyone else thing that the show's website sucks?
it doesn't allow the audience to talk back- visit the Top Chef website on Bravo- where audience memebers can sound off- postively and negatively.
i'm beginning to hate that network more and more!

haniewski1956- the question wasn't about Jag's situation on NFNS- it was about his comment about not having any people of color on foodtv

I agree with you. They need more ethnic and cultural foods on there. I'm so tired of Italian food. There are others types of food besides American and Italian and I would love to learn more about them. They can maybe also have some some Vegetarian show (I'm a meat eater but I want to learn how to cook some vegetarian dishes).
Food Network definitely needs revamping on their shows. I want to see all types of Asian, Indian, Polish, Greek, Russian, etc. foods on their channel. I guess for that I have to watch Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmerman and Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations. The only decent cultural show they had was Iron Chef (the original) with Japanese cooking and various others. It was fun to watch and I got to see a variety of foods and cooking methods.
Food Network needs to change because they are losing their audience. (They can keep Alton Brown though because he's my hero lol!). You are not the only one out there who feels that way.

I really liked Jag it's too bad he thought he needed to lie to make his dream come true. I'm just glad he came clean. He's right and so are you. The Food Network needs a Latino and African American cooking show. They have enough gourmet cooking shows. I don't think I'm going to continue to watch the show... Jag made it exciting. I don't really care for Amy or Rory...

I don't watch much of the food network any more. I will not say your wrong or right that's how you feel. If you feel that strongly about it you have a voice in this world stand for what you believe and send your thoughts to the food network.

By now you must know Jag is out of the running he did not tell the truth about graduating from culinary school and lied about serving in Afghanistan so they had a meeting and he voluntarily dropped out of the contest and Amy came back.I do agree that there aren't any Latinos but is because none have applied .until Jag but unfortunately he messed up

I didn't think that comment was so out of line either. These judges are being really strange this season. I also thought the comment that they made to Rory about it being Rachel's show and that Rory seemed to take it over was off base too. Rory had a strong personality and she was nervous.
I didn't understand a lot of decisions that the judges made this season as far as eliminations either....

You are soooooooooooo right! Ming Tsai is gone....the Jamaican Girl with the dreads Cheryl Smith is gone...Alex Garcia gone! JAG was on to something even though he let me down because I was rooting for him hoping we would finally get some island flavor on the Food Network...
I wish they would bring "Melting Pot " but in the mean time we have to see other American chefs, that don't even pronounce some of the Caribbean food names, right make it.
I hope Simply Delicioso take off....even though they gave it an early Saturday morning time slot!!!

JAG-HE CAME CLEAN AFTER THEY ALREADY KNEW, HIS COMMENTS WERE FROM GUESSING HE WAS BUSTED. HOW CAN ANY OF YOU DEFEND HIM NOW?HIS SPECIFIC LIE OF AFG. WAS THE ULTIMATE TO REPEAT FOR HOW LONG?HE IS A DISGRACE TO MARINES. SEARCH AND YOU WILL FIND OUT HE WAS NOT EVEN IN MARINES AND FOR WHAT(ANGER BEYOND CONTROL).FOOD NETWORK DID NOT WANT TO EMBARRASS THEMSELVES TO REVEAL THIS. AS FOR LATINOS OR OTHER MINORITIES RE-CK YOUR FACTS AND ADMIT YOU TOO ARE WWRROONNGG

I remember that dessert show. It was pretty good.
I think that they are trying to come out with more different shows. They should have more ethnicity though. I would love to see different recipes from different cultures.
