Ignore the jerks about your age. I know a 38 y.o. who is pregnant. Have you gained weight? My cousin gets pregnant as soon as she gets down to a certain weight. She's not very heavy either.
I got pregnant with my son after about six months, but it took two years of trying before I was divorced and remarried. I got pregnant within a week of my wedding. We started trying a year later and didn't get pregnant again for almost another two years. I would consider going to your doctor, but if you have any weight to lose, go ahead and lose it so you can tell your doctor you've already done everything you could think of. It will save you a lot of hastle if you try everything first. Good Luck

I accidentally got pregnant at 18 and now that I'm 29 and single, believe me, I'm worried.
However, I've done a lot of reading on the subject and your fertility shouldn't take a major drop until you're 35. Also, the pill won't hinder your chances.
It's normal to take up to one year after going off the pill to get pregnant, so hang in there. Make sure you're charting your basal body temperature and having sex on your most fertile days - every other day to give sperm a chance to build up. Also, make sure your husband doesn't wear tighty-whities, use a laptop on his lap (the heat kills sperm) or drink or smoke too much.
Good luck!

Birth control changes your cycle and sometimes it can take up to 2 years for all the hormons in your body to fully leave so that you can become pregnant again.. if you keep trying it will happen, try taking your temperature every day and the day that it starts to rise a few degrees is when you are most fertile. My Hubby and I have been trying for 2 and a half years; next year we can go and see if its the eggs and semen that disagree or if we're just doing it wrong haha... good luck and best wishes!
(also if you had an abortion when you were younger it scars your uterus and it can drop your ability to get pregnant significantly.)

My husband and I were off the pill for one month before we got pregnant with our three year old. I'm 36 weeks pregnant and we were off the pill for a complete year. We had decided that we were not going try anymore because he was wanting to make a career change and we would wait until he had made the change and we would start trying again. Guess what that very same month we found out that we were pregnant.

Relax.. the 'harder I tried', the longer it took. Get a basil thermometer to see when you are most fertile and after relations, prop a pillow under you and stay put for 1/2 hr or so. 8 months isn't that long... it took me 2 years. Also, let your doctor know and make sure you've had a good gyn check up to make sure everything is in order. And another tip a friend told me.... make believe you are 17 and unmarried and you'll get pregnant right away....lol... k
good luck!!! :)

First a girl baby is born with all the eggs she is going to have her entire lifetime. That being said as a woman gets older it gets harder and harder to get pregnant.
For me:
19 years old- got pregnant w/o trying with no problem
23 years old- got pregnant w/o trying but it ended in a m/c
25 years old- It took me two months to get pregnnat
Now at 27 it took me- 7 months to get pregnant.
I would suggest to you using mymonthlycycles.com to try and keep track of your cycles then also try Clearblue Easy digital ovluation kit. With that I found out that I ovulated sooner that I thought and I got pregnant on the first time using the kit.
If this doesn't work for you I would suggest you see a specialist. Hang in there... Good Luck to you. I am sending some baby dust your way!!!!

at 30 age has no effect on fertility. What bc have you been using? If you used depo it can shut down ovulation, you may need a shot to get it going again. See your dr for a check-up, that way you cna find out if its a problem or jsut bad timing. Good luck

Relax...The more stressed you get about it the less likely you'll conceive.
It is believed among fertility specialists that difficulty to conceive results from a body imbalance. Imbalance can happen emotionally or due to excess stress, hormones or an excess of acidity.
Possible solution: body detox. Detox is simply the process of eliminating toxins from your body. Cut out processed sugars and junk food, exercise, and deal with stress, by seeking out meditation, deep breathing, healthy relationships and situations that boost your self-esteem.
You'll be fine!

You and your eggs got a little older so it might take a little longer. 8 mo is not too long, I think you need to be actively trying for 2 yrs to be considered having fertility problems. Just keep on trying.

You want the simple answer.. we stopped trying and she was pregnant within 6 months.(after 5 years of temperature, diet, exercises, etc...).
(of course the kids DO look a bit like the milkman but I am sure that is just co-incidence - grin )
Sometimes the stress and effort of HAVING to have a kid just sort of shuts things down when you need them the most.
(But see you MD to be on the safe side)
