I ask this because some websites say that they don't believe in them. My Mars is in Capricorn and while I must say I do rate my martian qualties very high :P (I have tremendous staying power and tremendous determination to have something, even though I'm slow to start), I do think it's kind of odd that Mars would be exalted in a feminine sign, being that it's a masculine planet. So what's up with this exaltation stuff, what do you think about it astrologers??? Is it real or should a planet just be in its dignity to be the best it could be??

Dignity is an interchangable term.

The sign that a planet rules naturally is its sign of dignity. A planet is essentially dignified when it occupies its natural sign of dignity or its sign of exaltation; it is accidentally dignified when placed in its natural house. It is in domal dignity when in its own sign.

My mars is in Capricorn and I am entirely driven but also able to pace myself. The fact Mars is masculine is not a factor. Mars rules Scorpio and it is a feminine sign.

Planets signify particular styles of power. signs and indicators represent how that power flows. some signs and indicators and planets are comparable to one yet another. occasion: maximum cancers is an emotional sign, and the Moon is an emotional planet. The Moon rules maximum cancers. yet whilst the Moon is in Capricorn, that's unhappy because of the fact Capricorn is all approximately practicality and performance. The Moon & Capricorn do no longer "understand" one yet another, so they do no longer bypass properly at the same time. making use of your decision, Mars... Mars & Aries understand one yet another. the two are action! Now! Libra is approximately stability and solidarity, and getting alongside with others. Mars does no longer care approximately getting alongside with others, so Mars in Libra could be wishy-washy. Mars is action, Capricorn is performance. Cap knows a thank you to concentration Mars so this is the best. Ergo they artwork properly at the same time. maximum cancers is all emotion and mothering... and Mars, properly... you get it correct? aggressive mothering? Now none of those are cursed or undesirable... yet a Fall or Detriment skill a man or woman with those factors needs to pay particular interest to those factors of their existence, and seek for issues of their chart that balances or softens the difficulty.

Chance has it that I'm an astrologer with mars in Capricorn. It is indeed most powerful in Capricorn - and this is just from experience, having been out with men with the same placement. It's usually also quite powerful in Aries and Scorpio, being the ruler of both of them. The gender of the sign really has nothing to do with actual gender anyway...
