My sons was DaDa and it was on Fathers Day. What a good present huh?
With my daughter we were having a football party and everyone was screaming Touchdown and my daughter said it. So her first word was Touchdown... Crazy huh???

My now 12 yr old son's first real word, aside from mama and dada etc was yes. I had just finished changing him and was putting his jammies on him on my bed and he just came out with "YES" as clear as day. I was like what? He smiled at me and didn't say it again. He repeated it again at another time, but not when i wanted him to.
I made it my goal to have his first word be something positive instead of NO which i had heard many other young kids go around saying. Obvious that their parents had said it to them many times.

Hmm, well, she said Mama at 6 months. That counts right? Or do you mean first REAL word. She isn't quite saying real words yet.

Actually as I recalled, she looked into the doctors eyes and said something like 'you hit me again, maskface, and I am going to take that squeege they just pulled out of my mouth and put it somewhere in your anatomy that will require another doctor to remove'. Or words to that effect.. she was not a quiet child at birth...

Puppy. She's a year old and she pointed to my aunt's dog the other day and said "puppy". I've been trying to get her to say it again so I can get it on tape, but all she says is "pu" =D
My daughter said "Dad" on the Friday before Father's Day. I said "Say bye Daddy" and she said "Dad" at the same time she waved. DH said he didn't need anything else for Father's Day, nothing could top that =D

"Boooooo." It meant he had a poopy diaper.
He was only 4 or 5 months old, which was weird. But he only said it when he needed clean pants, so it was pretty clear he meant something by it. :)
