That sounds the best post school job ever! I worked in a factory for £2.50 an hour for 60 hours a week (before minimum wage) Heavy work, boring and physically demanding but all I spent my money on was beers wines and spirits so in a funny way maybe I was paying your wages - cool huh?

Mine was a parcel sorter working for littlewoods.i onl y had to work from 8am till 12pm and took home £60.00 a week,it was in the days when other school leavers we on yts schemes and only earned about £25 a week working full time.

Working in a builders merchants, sales ! ( started prior to leaving school as a saturday and holiday job at the sales counter or loading bags of sand into cars etc etc)

You were lucky....my first job was following horses and collecting the manure that dropped out...Mind you though it was useful as we made our house from it and also ate quite a lot of the stuff..We also made a wine from it and stuffed bags with it to make a quilt type thing...p.s did i tell you im russian!

a amrket trader it was fab my boss used to do air shows and all diffrent festivals selling jackets t-shirts etc it was fab early morning latenights and a fat wage packet sadly the markets are dead now and the zest sucked out of them but i had fun while it lasted started there @14 thru to 19 so not to bad
