When asked once about the public, the famous psychologist Jung once said he could estimate that 80% of people in the world had some sort of mental disease.
Was he right? Are people just crazy?

If they claim that 80% suffer from so-called psychopathology, I would say it's the other 20% that is actually ill.
How can you say something is the norm when it isn't even close to being the majority?
screw the normal folks. They ruin the curve for the rest of us. Besides most of them are closet cases anyway. They pretend to be normal but have weird fantasies about their neighbor's pets and crap like that.

seems to me that mental "disease" by DEFINITION is NOT THE NORM. meaning it's not the way MOST people's minds work. also, something is an illness when it causes impairment in functioning. i think most of us are doing just fine. we arent perfect, but carry on with our daily lives & responsibilities.
for example, schizophrenia is a mental illness bc it causes a significant loss of functioning bc that's not the way the mind is supposed to work.

Yeah, because there are TONS of classifications and diseases so even if your scared of anything at all it means you have a phobia....we are all mentally ill to some extent. Some people just have it very severely!!!

Considering the fact that there is about 500,000 chemical reactions going on in your body at any given time, all you need is for some of them to go haywire and you'll be nuts. lol

yeah i believe EVERYONE has a mental disease....they are just able to hide it better than others
