You never hear about Persian or Farsi people in the News. Only Radical She'a
Of all the Iranian people I meet in my life none said "I'm a radical" They all say they are Persian and then start bashing the curent government.

Shh!! The government wants the uneducated to think all Iranians are against them. Please don't clue them in that the Iranian people are disgusted with their Democratically elected leaders and will get rid of them next election.

O.K. I got it. And you are so right. Iranian people dislike that regime sooo much. If there was a fair referendum, the mullahs would not survive a day. Iranians are very pro-American. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan produce the most terrorists but their governments are pro-western. Iran, on the other hand, sponsors Hamas and Islamic jihad but its people are truly pro-American. It is a paradox. I know a couple of Iranians. One of my profs is married to an Iranian girl who is a Farsi teacher. I am taking classes with her.

Farsi is NOT a people......it is a language!!!!
Farsi is the most widely spoken language in the Indo-European area. The Iranians speak Farsi so do the Afghanistan people. At one time is was the largest language group of the entire "middle-east".
It is also called "Persian language". Almost 50 million people speak Farsi.

first of all there is no pure of anything anywhere. people have been interacting and moving around for different reasons for a long time. also there are different reasons one may introduce oneself as Persian, IE; racism, avoid conflict, be a monarchist or political views(most Iranians are from this group and came to USA with some money) and etc. there are people in east Africa "shirazi" people. shirazi family who were slave traders were exiled from Persia and resided mainly in islands in east Africa. they also inter-married with the natives and have some of their African features, they consider themselves, Persians. also Iran is a new name given to Persia by Hitler since the king Rea collaborated with Hitler. Iran means Aryan. also if it wasn't for these puppet kings, there wouldn't have been so much religiosity, illiteracy, poverty and etc, which led to have a fanatic population. that is a lot of information that you and even some Iranians may not have! hello in true Farsi is : dow-rood but most of them get stuck and won't remember till one reminds them. Salaam is Arabic and Hebrew which also means peace. Afghans use the most correct Farsi than Iranians! they may disagree. good luck with your adventures!
