Do you or know someone who always sways their foot/feet while laying in bed.......just before going to sleep? Almost every night before falling asleep moving their foot back and forth.

There is something called restless leg syndrome. It could be that, or it could be just a way of relaxing.

I do it all the time. It is a comfort measure for me. When I was a sickly small child, and in the hospital, my mother would sit by my bed for hours and rub my leg or my foot to keep me calm and relaxed. She couldn't touch me from the waist up as I was usually in an oxygen tent. This comforting, kept me quiet and peaceful. It has carried over into my adult life, I rub my leg or foot on the sheet just prior to going to sleep to relax and feel comforted from the stressors of the day.
