I'm a Honda guy all the way, but if I can get a BMW and afford to keep it up, I'm gonna lean towards that, cause it's classier and I already have 3 Hondas. Also, in regards to a previous answer, just because it's a Honda doesn't make it any more likely to be stolen than the BMW. Kinda sucks that a Honda Si would be stolen and stripped of its engine, but people steal classy cars just as well. any nice car will have the potential to be vandalized or stolen...that's the risk we take.
Just keep in mind that though you can afford either now, the Beamer will cost lots more in the long run. You'll pay more for gas, more for parts, and more for service...probably insurance, too. If you can afford it, get it and love it.

different than the fee, the two are no longer even comparable. BMW 3-sequence is a midsize luxurious game sedan. An 04-05 sort might desire to nonetheless have the manufacturing unit maintenance kit that covers all maintenance expenses for the 1st 4-years or 50,000 miles. A BMW gets you spotted. The Civic Si is a compact activities vehicle. that's a great vehicle in case you want some credibility between the line tuners.

why dont you look at a used Acura TL they are tons better than any BMW, you can just feel the difference when you drive it. The Acura will hold its value better than a BMW and there is a lot of engineering that goes into an Acura. Acura has better quality, they are just as fast if not faster, available with auto or a stick,6 standard air bags, everything comes standard except the navi like bluetooth, leather heated seats, xm satelite radio, xenon headlights, rain sensing wipers, and the list just goes on and on but to get all this stuff you will need to get year models 2004-2008. The list just goes on and on why dont you go look at them at acura.com or ebay or something. They are really nice cars and will make you change your mind about any BMW.

As many of the folks here have already stated, the BMW 3 would be a nice ride if you have the money to keep it in good shape. And that's not cheap to do.
I'm so happy with my Civic sedan. Great milage and a fun ride. Not as sporting as the 3 and 5 series I've driven. But not as likely to drive me to the poor house either.
Honda for your wallet, BMW for your soul.

Look at it this way, money seems to be an issue with you, so with Honda Civic, it will be virtually problem free to 100K and you'll only need to do basic maintenance. BMW will kick-a*s and ride around town and back with the Civic, but you'll have more issues with things here and there that will cost you dough.
So, if you like to ROCK !!!! Go beemer. If money and maintenance are issues, go Honda.

A premium fuel SI honda or a regular gas 3 series. Front wheel drive highly stolen econo-box or a rear wheel drive german driving machine? Your winter weather might answer this rear wheel drive can be tricky in slick roads. In Texas I am partial to the quality of the BMW never shows down here much. Join The BMWCCA or Join The "Tune-er Revolution" Honda SI club. My friend was able to drive his honda about 6 months before it was stolen and stripped of it's engine and interior.

BMW's are the ultimate driving machines! Definitely go for the BMW if you can afford to maintain it. If not, Hondas are very good vehicles as well.

its your choice if you want fuel efficiency, engine reliability that last for 200000 plus miles without any problems, cheaper maintenance cost, less power then have the HONDA civic si but if you want status, more interior luxury, more engine power, lots of electrical problems in the car in the long run, more and expensive maintenance cost then have the BMW aka "Broke My Wallet" because of high maintenance cost

Beamers are awesome to drive, but take into consideration the repairs. If something breaks will you have the money to fix the Beamer. A honda is obviously much cheaper to fix and maintain.
