How do I go about doing this? How soon? I'm getting married in September.

You do it after you're married. Your bank and/or credit card companies will need to see a copy of the marriage license and that should do it. Congratulations!!

Contact each institution to find out how to update their records. Wait until you are actually married to make the change. They will probably request a copy of the marriage license. In most cases, the marriage license will be all you need.

when you get a copy of your marriage license then go to the dmv and social security office then you can change your name with the bank and cedit cards ok
