what is the average percent of settlements in a class action suit?

My husband and I are filling out paper work to recieve a settlement and the conditions of the suit say 85% must settle.

sometimes its as low as 50% but I'd say the average is 80-85%

Each settlement is negotiated separately. Other than doing a statistically sampling of all major class actions, there is no way to come up with a percentage like you ask.

85% will easily settle. Almost all class action lawsuits these days end in settlement. Unless the offer is really crappy, almost everyone will take it.
