Reason, season or lifetime author unknown

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are.

They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand.

What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never
done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real!
But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway); and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.

It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant

I think it is the old adage people grow apart. A friendship can be based on a common interest. However, over time one party can grow bored with that interest and move on to other things and other people. The depth of the friendship will be what keeps two people friends for a long time. A shallow friendship won't survive the test of time. Pax - C

I think friendships, like any relationship, take some work. So often we lose track of our friends because we're busy with our careers or our significant others...it's like we believe our friends will always be there. People change and grow - and their interests change, so it's not always possible or desirable to keep all of your friends. But, even the strongest friendship can die if it's not nourished.

Through time people often grow in different directions and develop different interests. As I got older I found that the love is eternal. The friendship with time can also be rekindled.
All is well, my friend, all is perfect. Relax and enjoy! Seriously!

If you shoot a gun it is not the bullet but the speed who kills.
In this case it is not the time but the real lack of care of our friendships that causes the effect. A friendship is like a flower that must be watered and cared frequently to survive.

people grow mentally and emotionally over time so things that you may think are important now may not be so important later. Life goes on and never stays the same. People grow apart and start to have different priorities

persola experiences may change people, so in time people lern and grow in a very personal and diferent ways. I think thats why time kill stongest friendships because both sides change with time.

Because friends are levels of security (of differing morals) and no-one is always secure as we all move, change, develop and grow so we need to learn from new friends. Family however should make security on any level of moral life.

If time can kill it, it's not a strong friendship.

Because as you grow and mature individually, you go your seperate ways. Then, later your interests are different and your friendship is less strong.
