it depends on what it was you were fighting about. Something minor you will get over it quickly. But if it is something major it will take a long time.

As it is always said that a morning problem with your better half end by the time you go to bed. So I am sure things must have got to normal already with you and your partner. Fights and arguments are part of life. Learn to live with them. Its fun.

Would depend a lot on the kind of issue; the frequency of the arguement; validity of the issue; reccurrence of the issue etc. etc.
But in any case, such fights are common and the best way to avoid complications is to forget & forgive. Still better is the approach - you hot, me cool; me hot you cool.
Take Care!

My boyfriend and I have been together for just about 2 1/2 years. We have lived together for 2 of them. It's not easy to be in a relationship. Two people have to be able to listen to eachother... Not JUST hear, but actually LISTEN. Mat and I never leave the room or house before resolving our conflict. If by chance one of us does, it gives us a minute to cool off and think rationally. Then we come back and are level headed and ready to work it out. We make compromises. We always make sure we know we love eachother.
He and I have made it through cheating, family issues, and **** addictions. I feel that if you truely care for the person it shouldn't matter how extreme the disagreement as long as you are BOTH willing to work things out. Our longest fight was a week. We had broken up the night before I went on vacation when I was fresh out of high school and newly in the relationship with him. Turns out we had BOTH cheated a month before, but he said he wanted to work it out. Here we are years later expecting our first baby and hoping to get married when I'm not fat anymore. lol...
It is VERY important to not hold grudges. It was hard at first to see him off as he was going out to the bar for a drink with his buddies. We always talked about our insecurities and reassured one another. To this day, no matter how mad he makes me, I couldn't imagine my life with out Mat.

It should be solved before you go to bed or work if everyone can sit down and discuss it without emotions running high. Do not go to bed angry because it will be carried over into the new day. At least make time to when both parties can sit down and work it out.

Even if we fight all day, even if the intensity of disagreement is very high, still at bedtime we make-up and kiss each other. We forgive each other, and mostly we apologise each other, though we are not at fault, so that we can quickly proceed with the menu for the night, that is making love.

For me it depends, is it something stupid or what? We used to argue and get mad at eachother for a day or two or even three. But now we argue then we hug and makeup. We've been married for 3 years now and we don't really argue that much anymore.
