omg! i cheered for 4 yrs on my school's competing squad!

herkys and pikes are jumps

a herky can be a left or a right

a right herky is when ur right leg is straight in the air at bout a 40 degree angle and ur left leg is under ur but

a left herky is just the opposite

a pike is when ur ft r straight in the air directly in front of u! VERY DIFFICULT unless u r EXTREMELY flexible!!!!!!!!!!!!

if u have to try-out (which u should, especially if they compete) ask someone unless they have clinics where they focus on cheerleading things.

there should be a day for jumps, stunts, & tumbling!

hope i helped and good luck at try-outs!!!!

they are both jumps in cheerleading. a herky is when one of ur legs is bent (in the air) to your side and the other leg is straight out to kind of the other side.

a pike is when you jump with both your feet forward and lean your upper body forward so ur whole body makes an angle kind of like this...<
