Why would a manager call work from work using his cell phone asking for another manager and pretending to be someone else under an assumed name? What sense does that make?

p.s. these managers are of equal level, meaning neither manager is above the other.

It doesn't....but nobody voluntarily engages in behavior that does not have a reward. Something was in it for him, although that doesn't guarantee a 'method to the madness'. It gives you an idea of how far to trust this person...and the immaturity present. Isn't it funny how some people make it into management? I always thought that 'sh__ floats' and is on top. (Not always....but alot of times and it defies logic)

well he could have been testing the people who answer the phone or the other manager he was trying get on the phone. Like say for instance he recieve a complaint from someone and wanted to see if he could catch the person in the act.

Sounds like the guy has no life..LOL But on a serious note, he does that to check on how the other manager handles a situation and is doing his job correctly. A lot of managers do that.

Probably testing the manager currently on duty. He wants to see if they can handle themselves with customers.

Putting aside the wierdness, and the adultery, could it have been a practical joke?
