They are going to be one of the teams in contention, but I don't know about Super Bowl. Maybe.

The AFC is loaded. If the Bengals are going to get to the Super Bowl, they are going to have to go through the likes of the Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers, New England Patriots, and the Denver Broncos to get there. A lot of tough teams, and it should be a very competitive season. I'd be disappointed if Cincinnati doesn't make the playoffs with the talent they have, but it's going to be a tough road for any AFC team with post-season goals this year.

the bengals will have a deep playoff run this year but they will not get to the big game. their offense is solid if choose not to think about the fact that some of their players have attitude problems. They don't have their second fastest WR on the field for the first 8 games. they don't have a very good backup group if Palmer goes down, their D-line isn't strong enough to stop the inside rush and even with the talent at DB its going to be hard to for them to mess with players like Steve Smith, Randy Moss, and some of the faster QBs once the ball carrier gets past the LBs. They have talent on both sides of the ball but they won'tget the rings this year. maybe in about 2 or 3 years when they get some more reliable backups when their big time players need a break or if they go down.

No. Simply put they don't have a strong enough defense and their offense isn't unstoppable to completely carry them there. Throughout the entire history of Superbowl winning teams, they always had somewhat of a good defense. The Bengals don't. Their secondary is very shaky excluding Deltha O' Neal, but even plays inconsistent sometimes. That 42 point second half let up against the Chargers? Pathetic. Brees having over 500 yards passing? Pathetic. Ranked 27th against the run with Odell Thurman and David Pollack out? Pa...the...tic. They do not have enough players on defense to make an impact to even somewhat help their offense out.
As for their offense, it will take a hit with Chris Henry being out. Aside from Johnson, he was their deep threat and accounted for 9 TDs, most of them in the Red Zone. They do not have a proven WR behind Henry which will allow teams to double team Johnson and Houshmanzedah if needed.Rudi Johnson is a good back, just needs to avoid injuires.
Last but not least...their schedule. Theyt play the Ravens twice, New England, New York Jets, not too mention the Steelers twice, so I don't expect them to just walk into the playoffs, and simply beat teams like San Diego, New England, Indy, and Baltimore with such an unbalanced team.
P.S. If they want to even make it to the playoffs, they might want to stop making frequent trips to jail so much.

I've got the Bengals playing the Saints in the Super Bowl this year. I haven't picked a winner, though.
And BigMonster, check your geography: though named for the Bengal tiger, the Bengals football team plays in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.

LOL. Dude, you really need to stop eating AA batteries. The only championship the Bungles will win this year is the Ohio Penal System Championship. Sure they have a ton of offense with Palmer, Chad Johnson, TJ, Rudi Johnson, but unless they stop anyone they wont win more than 8 games. And their offense isn't even on the same level as the offense of the New Orleans Saints, who had the #1 offense last season and got even better on offense.

No, sorry. Their run defense is terrible, and they have a bunch of character issues. It looks as if someone is going to have to take responsibility for the stupid behavior of their players. If I was the Bengals GM, I would fire the entire coaching staff and release every player that got arrested last year. There are consequences for the poor actions of others, and sometimes the innocent get hurt right along with the criminal. It is time to set an example.

They definitely have a chance to be in the playoffs. Superbowl.. there is always a possibility. Remember, we (BEARS) made it to the SB with the use of Special Teams and Defense.. and a not so great QB. You have one good name for you.. Chad Johnson put up some impressive numbers last year and we all know the impact of one person on a team. Everybody is all on the Pats a## this year. It will be so funny watching them lose in the playoffs because everyone is counting on them to win the SB.
