The next day I got a fairly regular period for2-3 days so I figured I was not regnat but I still feel really tired and I threw up last night and then again today. I know this was not spotting. Any thoughts on this. Thanks

NO, you can bleed, but it's not a period. The only thing that constitutes a period is when the bleeding is from the shedding of the uterus lining. If you were pregnant and this happened then you would lose the pregnancy. You can have period like bleeding, I did, but it needs to be reported to an OB right away as it could indicate a problem. In fact, 50% of women who experience bleeding in the first trimester, not from implantation, end up miscarrying. That is the latest statistic. So, women who say they had periods when they were pregnant, were simply mislabeling the bleeding. It's a common mistake since we are so used to the bleeding down there being a period, that we just call all bleeding a period.

It is possible, but go see your OBGYN. If you were clotting, I would say no, but I'm not a doctor either.

Unfortunately, it could be a miscarriage too. If you are experience any bad cramping, this could be a result from a miscarriage.

Please go see your doctor!
