My nineteen year-old cousin is overweighed. She is pretty short and weighs around 190 pounds. She eats 4 slices of bacon for breakfast, she goes to fastfood restaurants for lunch and dinner. She also eats 4 bags of chips and drinks 4 sodas a day. Can someone help me? Or is she hopeless?

Has she asked for your advice? If not, just butt out, it's not your place.

No, she is not hopeless and no, no one can help you or her. Telling her you think she needs to eat healthier and lose weight will only hurt her self esteem, no matter how gently you put it, which could end up making her eat even more. She will lose the weight and begin a healthy life style when she is ready. And when she is, be there to support by offering to help her with some yummy meal ideas and offering to take walks or go the gym with her. I used to be 50 pounds over weight. I heard many harsh comments, but I didn't lose it till I was ready.

Get her healthy food that tastes good. Like Microwavable veggie burgers. And flavored rice cakes. Crystal light is much better than soda too. Four pieces of bacon never hurt anyone but the rest is pretty bad.

Start with convincing her to get reduced fat chips and find an alternative to soda.
Should make a huge difference in about 2-3 months
