I am very happy to hear that there are a bunch of people out there who are not victims of the "dumbing down" of our world. Good answers one and all!

it's a big deal because these people 'move the needle' as it were. meaning that they can sell mags, papers and get a higher Nielsen rating if they show them on the tele. No it is not important at all, but then again why show brittney, lindsey, paris or any other. But then the Insider, access hollywood, entertainment tonight, and extra would not exist.

Oh, no, see, it somewhat isn't the way it relatively works. The teeny cough and the wittle sniffles, are what's noted as 'Malingering'. Malingering is once you feign ailment so which you will get out of doing something useful. the only specific thank you to be certain that the guy in question in certainty drops lifeless from an ailment is to offer him a tuna an mayonnaise sandwich that has been left in a dry bathroom for 3 days.

The press makes money off creating celebrities and then jerking the chains of the masses to gain attention by re-publicizing the celebs they created.

I can honestly (and happily) say that I know nothing about Posh, Beck, or any of 'em, and that is just fine with me.

its called hype and its necessary to make $.

they have a reality show coming out and he's supposed to start this huge soccer craze in America, so they have to hype them up in order to get people involved, which will sell advertisement, which makes networks $.

I don't think its working yet....America is not a soccer country.
