I think that's why so many of us spend time here fighting and arguing. Until election time rolls around, there's not much we really can do.

What is selfish is living a life of freedom that was secured by soldiers on the battlefield while condemning others to live in tyranny. What is selfish is fabricating a line that the government lied simply because you need people to believe that in order for you to secure political victory. What is selfish is for a political party to be more concerned about cheap political victories than they are about the nations security or the freedoms of millions whose lives depend on our resolute support.

As long as Saddam was alive he was affecting my life, he was breathing the same air I do, albeit on the other side of the globe. Kind of reminds me of the Steppenwolf song the pusher.

The German people did exactly that during WW11 while their leader was genociding over 6 million humans and now the American people are doing exactly what the German people did as Bush wages his ILLEGAL WAR of choice based upon a PACK OF FILTHY LIES that has so far seen the slaughter of over 400,000 INNOCENT Iraqi men,women and children.

I am both selfish and callous. Maybe that's why I don't feel the need to resort to self-deception to make myself feel more comfortable with the world situation. I just accept the truth, unpleasant though it may be.
