Ok I am sorry but I don't feel the tax payers should reimburse people or give them tax breaks for having a surgery that isn't medically necessary. If they pass this I am writing off all kinds of plastic surgery procedures. I will get everything lifted, tucked I don't care. I can not believe the nerve of someone trying to get a tax break on this! What does every else think?

Even skinny people can have unhealthy "hidden" belly fat. Research shows that fat may be folded deep inside the belly around the stomach organs, visible only by CT or MRI imaging. This fat puts people at the same health risks as someone with more obvious big girth, researchers say. These health risk include diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and stroke.

That should be enough to get liposuction as a tax deduction under medical expenses even for a person that wouldn't traditionally be considered obese right! I am sure the taxpayers don't have a problem with this after all I feel that I was really born with a figure like barbie...I just need lots of plastic surgery to find it but mentally I am definitely barbie figured.

PS- Please note I am not arguing the cant have the surgery- it is their body. I just don't think a tax break is in order.

Oooh, you are on very shaky grounds here.. some may argue that they need a sex change because its who they should have been in the first place. I don't think its a decision that is taken lightly... so therefore on grounds of mental health, you could say they should get tax relief.

Sorry, I know what you mean, but don't entirely agree with what you are saying... I think theres more too it then what you think there is.
