The formula for the area of a circle is PR ^2(where P is Pie or 3.1416), and R is the radius, and squared under the formula.
For illustration purposes, say the radius of a circle is 10 feet,
then its area will be as computed below:
A = PR^2
A =(3.1416)(10)^2
A = (3.1416) x 100 ft
A = 314.16 square feet.
Additionally, if you want to measure the length of the circumference of this circle, the formula is:
C = 2PR ( which is the derivative of the area PR^2)
C = 2(3.1416) 10 = 62.83 ft.
The circumference is the loop made by the circle if it were
cut in the middle. Think of a hulahoop when you cut in the middle. The length of that stretched loop is the circumference of the circle before it was cut.

You mean area?
Area of a circle = Pi * (radius)^2
Example:
radius = 2 feet
Area = Pi * 2^2
= 4 * pi square feet

PiR^2
where Pi = 3.14159
and R is the radius in feet.
If finding R is awkward, measure across the circle and divide by w.

Hello
I assume that you mean the area.
So we use pi*r^2 = a where pi is approx. 3.14159 and r is the radius so if we have a circle or radius 3in. it would be 3*3*3.14 or about 28.26 square inches.
Hope This Helps!

area (circle) = PI * R * R
if R is in ft, then Area is in squared ft
If r is in meter, then Area is in squared meter, etc.
