Are they too stupid to realize that the democrats just use them as a tool. The democrats are not the poor mans party or the african american party. They just pretend to be poor or pretend to associate with knowing what it's like to be middle or lower class. They are just as rich as any other politcal party. They can be just as racist as any other political party.

The parties are not what they were twenty years ago. There was a time when the Republicans fought for the rights of Americans and not for corporations. As for the Democrats, there are actually 2 forms. The southern Democrat which, historically presented the racist face to the world, changed drastically In the 1970's Starting in 1968 when the southern Democrats essentially gave the presidency to Richard Nixon when they broke away from the party to Support George Wallace. After that, the southern (white) conservatives have left the democratic party en masse and who did they join? The republican party. That my friends is when the republican party lost its way. That is when the party of Abraham Lincoln began its transformation into the party of George W Bush.

Your ignorance is a prime example of why Blacks historically have avoided conservatives and the Republicans like the ebola virus.

The Democratic party historically has been the champion of the poor/working class .From having legislated Social Security and Medicare all against viscious Republican opposition to having fought Jim Crow and championed the entire movement that led to the landmark Civil Rights Act in the 60s again viscious RACIST conservative/Republican opposition ,it is of course not surprising that Blacks generally JUSTIFIABLY love the Democratic Party.

Additionally it has always been the Democrats that have supported UNIONS and the rights of workers while the elitist money grubbing Republican party sucked at the teat of individual and cororate wealth.

You ignorance of historical facts is deplorable and you need to apologize to this board.

properly, i think of portion of the respond lies on your paragraph with regards to the civil rights stream and KKK connections. interior the South at that factor, the vast majority of people who have been against desegregation have been Democrats. they did no longer get their way and as a consequence maximum of them left the Democratic occasion in a snit and became Republicans. it extremely is actual whilst the shift got here approximately between thinking Democrats have been the racists and the theory that the Republicans are the racists now. i do no longer keep in mind them status idle for the period of the Florida debacle nevertheless. I keep in mind particularly some protest from the Democrats, and that i'm an autonomous and not attempting to make excuses for them. I keep in mind them elevating hell over it, yet interior the top it did no stable.

Excuse me, I am not a racist.

In the city I live in, within the city limits there are 90% of African Americans and only 10% white, hispanic or oriental.
Take a wild guess at which party most of them belong to.
That's right, the democratic party. It has absolutely ruined our city. Thanks to our democratic mayor our city is now bankrupt. He spent the city's budget for his personal use without consent of the city. Not to mention that the avarage income within the city limits is $27,000 and more than 50% is on welfare (most of them being African Americans). Which, without seeming racist, is making the African American community very lazy. That's a proven fact in my city. (And who feeds the welfare system the most? The dems of course!)
I wish the proverty level was much lower, but how can you help people change that don't want to change their lifestyle?

because the Democratic party is more of a big government party and goes for more programs that are aim to as sit the low income and to help make a better life for them. they led the way in all civil right movements == the south was all democratic until johnson in 1964(?) signed the civil rights movement and than the south whites switched parties and left the black man no chose but to go democratic.

No, he did not answer his own question, no one African American can answer for another. Nor, can no other race answer for the African American Race. We are individual first, and fore most we are not too stupid, to realize this or anything else, for that matter. We are just as educated as some of you are and not.

I for one, do not vote Democrat. Yes, I do vote.

Yes, I do agree, with you that they the Democratic Party, are not hardly poor, they are just as rich maybe more so than the Republican party.

Have a nice evening everyone.

You seem to forget that most people do not vote "for" a party anywhere near so much as they vote "against" the other party. And somewhere around 80 to 85% of blacks have been scared of the Republican Party ever since the GOP nominated Barry Goldwater, who voted against the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Democrats talk about empowering people yet don't associate with those they want to empower. You can make a case that you see more minorities at a Dick Cheney BBQ than you do at a democratic strategy meeting.

That being said at least the Democrats make noises about wanting to include other races. The Republicans do not make efforts to reach out to other minorities until it's about election time.

CONsidering the alternative, it makes perfect sense.

When Dem president, LBJ did away with segregation and gave blacks rights, the prejudiced "Dixie-crats" in the south abandoned the Dem party and registered as Repubs.

Albeit, it was the Repubs that marched with ML King Jr., against the prejudice Dems, after Dem LBJ did away with legalized racism, the prejudice Dems took over the southern Repub parties.

Q: Why do poor and working class citizens in the south, support Republican reps who's fiscal policies are 180 against the poor and the working class?

The self appointed black leaders and mainstream media attacks republicans as racists. Also unless you came over from Africa on a boat recently you are not African-American, you are American. This is another trick the Media and the self appointed leaders of the black community use to keep blacks volintaraly segregated from every one else.
