Amazingly enough there is a difference its dah dah

Noise levels, one is made for indoors so is built to run alot quieter than the one for outside, that is the only difference, If you run the pond one on a carpeted floor you should have no problem.

how do i know, i bought one for my fish house years ago, was easier than buying several small ones.

well i know what your taling about those are rated for bigger aquariums. ex they have 10-20-30-50 gallon ect. the doubble outlet is so you can put 2 air hoses in your aquarium. i think that is horse **** though i have a 55 gallon aquarium and a 10 gallon air pump and i have 4, 8'' oscar fish. i dont think it makes any difference unless you have a ungodly huge aquarium. like 500 gallons or more. but some stuck up "professional aquariust and espessially those damned pet store people" beg to differ. however if you have a coy pond then you should get a pond filter just becuase it is bigger and needs more air

pond pumps are more powerful. They have to be as ponds are generally huge.

There are aquarium air pumps with 2 outlets. My aquarium air pump has 6 outlets, this one is meant for production not looks, it is a profession fishroom model.

But again they come in all different sytles and number of outlets.

My question is "Why didn't you ask the person at the store"
They do the same job 'pump air'
I need a new one so I'll try the same thing at half the price
