can a motion sensored security light be adjusted to about 10ft, because the ones that i've seen say that it can be adjusted to 100 ft but what's the least ? it's because cars pass behind my drive way all the time and i don't want it turning on every 2 minutes.

Most have a sensitivity dial so that at the most sensitive it will come on from a cat at 40 feet and a person at 60-80 under the right temperature conditions while at the least sensitive it will come on only from a person within 10 feet or less. You can also change the sensitivity by aiming the head - the viewing area is divided into zones and triggering occurs when something moves from one zone to another, so tilting or aiming the head so multiple zones fall near and only a few reach further can reduce distance triggering.

you should be able to play around with the angle of the sensor. try to get it pointed just so it doesn't hit the road. i don't have a clue about bringin in the distance.
