Purchase a household cleaner, I use Vim liquid, it not only cleans it makes everything smell clean and is non abrasive.

Then you use it on all of the bathroom surfaces, to clean the toilet put it around the inside of the bowl and then with a cloth scrub up under the rim, the inside and down the pipe that the water goes down. Then rinse the cloth in the sink and clean the outside with the same cloth and the same cleaner, don't forget the back and top of the toilet and the toilet seat.

Then move on to the shower, put the vim on the walls and faucet and tap and floor then scrub them all with a cloth or a scrub brush, leave it on there for awhile to work, it has cleansers to break down the soap build up, then move to the sink and do the same thing.

When your finished you can flush the toilet, turn on the shower, rinse the shower stall then the sink.

When your finished you take a bucket of warm water or use the sink with the plug in and the cleanser and scrub the floor, don't forget behind the toilet and the baseboard. If your bathroom has carpet you can skip this step, just vacuum.

Then take windex and clean the mirrors and finally with the cloth and cleanser you can scrub the inside and outside of the bathroom door and cupboards and drawers for anything that may be stuck to them like toothpaste, powder etc.

Don't forget to also wipe down the walls in case someone has spashed something on it when urinating.

When you have done all that, the bathroom is not only clean it smells nice.

Your ready to move onto another room now.

I'm impressed that your willing to do it yourself.

Have fun, I do that every week.

You must have been a sheltered child.

Toilet: Get some all purpose cleaner form the store and spay the seat and pretty much the outside of the toilet. Wipe it all away with paper towels. Make sure you get into all the cracks and all around it. Anywhere pee might splash. Clean it AT LEAST once a week.
For the inside of the toilet you have to get a toilet bowl cleaner at the grocery store or walmart, and a toilet brush. Follow the instructions on the bottle.

For the shower, buy some softsoap, or some other bath tub and shower cleaner, and clean it out about once a week. Scrub it with a spunge, making sure to get into all the cracks, and the tiles, faucet, etc. Anywhere it gets wet. this will keep mold and mildew from growing. Also, make sure you hang up your bath mat (if you have one) that sits outside your shower everytime you get out. this will keep mildew and mold from growing on it.

To clean the floor get a mop and a broom, or a swiffer. Mop and sweep the floor, especially around the toilet whenever you feel it is necesarry. Mostly to clean up all the pubes that get everywhere.

For the sink and counter you can spray everything down with the same all purpose cleaner you used for the toilet, and then wipe it down with DIFFERENT paper towels (obviously). Then clean the mirror with Windex, or other glass cleaner.

Good Luck!

buy 2 toilet brushes
get the lysol or clorox squeezie toilet cleaner that you can spray under the rim. and the disposable clorox wipes, and a shower cleaner like tilex or eliminate or zep shower tub n tile.
flush the bowl, pop up the seat, squeeze the stuff under the entire rim. let it sit while you whip out the clorox wipes. start by cleaning the tank, lid, AND the flush handle. toss, and with a new wipe (or 3) do every surface of the seat, top underneath, hinges, ALL. toss, and with more wipes do the outer base of the bowl (most guys forget this and there's always pee running down the front of a perfectly clean-inside bowl.) toss your wipes and whip out toilet brush #1. scrub away like you were brushin' your teeth, get every nook n cranny, including the ones you can't see. remove brush, flush again, rinse brush in new clean water. if you don't have a brush caddy, prop between rim and seat to air-dry.
shower. on a dry shower, spray every surface 'til it's almost dripping with spray. walk away 20 min- 1/2 hr. whip out toilet brush #2 and scrub every surface, same as the toilet, every corner. for tight spots, use an old toothbrush. rinse. if any nasty spots remain, repeat. I usually shower along with the rinse, it's a messy job if you're into it. last, use a sponge and the shower spray or more of the clorox wipes to clean down the vanity and sink, regular windex for mirrors, and you can mop with some pinesol/mr clean or get a swiffer for the tile floor, but make sure you sweep for hair and dust first. Have lots of fun, you'll never appreciate a clean bathroom so much as the one you worked for.......

Scrubbing bubbles in a can! Spray the shower walls, the tub ALL the toilet and the sinks then wipe with a rag and rinse with colsd water. Kee p toilet clean with tidy bowl or a blue tablet in your toilets tank and also hang a deoderizer in the inside of the toilet. After the cleaning, go grab a scrubbing bubbles automatic shower cleaner at Lowes and each time you get out, you clean the tub with the push of a button! Hope this helps.

I am in the army and trust me when I say I know how to clean a bathroom. What you Need for the shower is Scolding bleach powder for the scum, a wire brush and a sponge. Use the bleach powder and sprinkle it across your shower. Next you apply little water to it and scrub quickly with the wire brush, while moving your hand in small tough circles. Afterwords finish with the sponge and water, softly going over the whole shower.

The sinks may require Windex and paper towels. Spray the entire sink with Windex. Take the dry paper towel and gently scrub the inside and outside of your sink. You can also use the Windex as a Polish for your door handles, sink lining, and foset accessories. To do this spray them with the Windex and scrub hard with the paper towel (again use small circles with lots of pressure).

To clean (tile) floors. You will need Pine Saw, bleach, wire brush and a mob or bath towel. Sweep the floor with a broom. After you complete that soak the floor with water. mop up the water and apply the Pine Saw. Let it sit for a few minutes (take a break) and when you return use the mop and scrub hard. Apply water and gently mop the water. Next use the bleach to get between the cracks or seals of the tile. Scrub the bleach with the wire brush in between the cracks.

When you are all finished spray some good room deodorant or light some in seance. look at your bathroom and be amazed.

First, take everything off the counters and floor. Spray the shower with some kind of shower cleaner and squirt bowl cleaner in the toilet. Let those work on theiir own while you wipe the counter and mirror. The disinfectant wipes that come in a tube are great. Just pull one out and wipe the counter, use Windex on the mirror. Then wipe the shower with a wet cloth and rinse it. Use a toilet brush to clean inside of toilet and another wipe for the rest of it. Wipe the floor with whatever cleaner works for your type of floor. You may need to vacuum up hair before you wipe the floor. Good luck. Do it often and it won't take long or build up. I wear gloves!

You've gotten a lot of really good advice, so I won't go into detail, everyone else did that. I would like to say, though, that the very best toilet bowl cleaner on the market is called "Sno Bowl". Rust and hard water stains are no match for it! Also, the best tub and shower cleaner is called "The Works" . Excellent stuff! Good luck, you'll be an expert in no time!

ok I always start with my bathroom sink. I like the scrubbing bubbles disinfecting spray. Sray your sink including the faucets, and your whole toilet. let sit a couple seconds then wipe down with paper towels. Then clean the inside of the toilet with toilet bowel cleaner. You can either scrub the inside with a brush or you can buy the disposable scrubbers. I prefer the disposable scrubbers since there more sanitary. Then if your showers needs to be cleaned the cheapest and best way to do this is plain old comet powder cleaner. Simply wet your shower then sprinkle comet all over. Scrub it in and rinse. Then depending on you type of floor you have in your bathroom. Clean it. sweep before you mop it though. Also if you havnt cleaned in awhile you might want to dust. Wipe down baseboards doors etc. Your sink and toilet should be cleaned every couple of days depending on how dirty it gets.
Good luck!

Go to your local store (wal mart, target) buy a bathroom toilet brush, bathroom cleaner, (I personally like scrubbing bubbles or scrub free lemon) those cleaners clean the whole bathroom. After you scrub your toilet I'd also get a drop in tab (it goes into the tank of the toilet) it keeps your toilet bowl clean so it means less scrubbing. use the cleaners with a towel rag on your sinks, toilet, shower and floor.. you really can't go wrong... E mail me if you need more details..

ok Im going to assume you are a single guy....so step one on bathroom cleaning is, try your hardest not to pee ON the toilet! (It will be easier to clean) Im not trying to be insulting, but as I come to understand it, guys tend to have bad aim lol. Seriously though, get some lysol toilet bowl cleaner to put in the bowl. get one of those bowl srubber things with a handle, and scrub the bowl really good. Flush. Then use some clorox with bleach spray (or any kind of bathroom cleaner that comes in a spray bottle) and use it to clean the rest of the toilet. I like to use papertowels since they are disposable. If I am using a rag to do the wiping, I always wipe the toilet seat first, because its usually not as dirty. lift the lid and clean the underside of seat and rim of the toilet. dont forget to clean the handle (flush) real good too. oh and you can wear rubber gloves too to keep the funky stuff from touching your hands. good luck.
