Homosexuality is abnormal, period. Yes, I know, you grew up in school, listening to all your NEA teachers pound "homosexuality is just an alternate lifestyle" nonsense down your throat for 12 years. They are a prime example of those who would like to make you believe that "wrong is right and weird is semi-normal". But no, homosexuality cannot be made "normal" merely by our culture's opinion.

In the culture we live in now, it is most definitely becoming MORE of a normal part of growing up. Being homosexual, however, is not abnormal at all...

It will become easier for the LGBT community to live an out and active life without being afraid. We are already seeing it today, more and more teens are coming out and even more high school alliance groups are forming. The progress is just the beginning, but it's already been a huge step in the right direction

I think children are curious about their bodies and play "doctor" with friends or even other children in the family, but I wouldn't call it homosexual even if it's between 2 kids of the same sex. As they reach puberty, though, to actually play together and try to reach orgasm is not as common, but it does happen, even with those that turn out to be straight.
So, I think it is normal, but how the parents and local culture react to it has an effect on how 'normal' the one sees himself if he actually turns out gay.
In other words, let's say if some parents find their kid with a neighbor kid playing doctor and reacts in a nasty or angry way, I think it can fcuk up the kid whether gay or straight.

Only if you're talking about practicing kissing or something. Of course, I think homosexual behavior for an adult is normal.

Heterosexual and homosexual experimentation are just as normal as homo-eroticism in the formative years- the degree to which both occur is the key.
And I wouldn't call the urge cultural- just the reaction to it.

Quoting a certain yahoo legend, "homosexuality seems almost obligatory these day's" which seems an odd direction for the human race to go in.

most culture would be geographically specific-so i assume you mean the greater population of the world---since moral ethics are on the decline,YES,it's more acceptable now to be involved in same sex behaviour and experimentation when growing up-without a lot of social stigma and finger pointing

Not universally.

Homosexual behaviour is normal for homosexuals - that's it. Anything else is a perversion of a person's nature.
