Conservatives use the word "liberal" like it's a curse. Liberals use the word "conservative" in much the same way. We are all Americans and must be willing to fight for the rights and beliefs of others even if we disagree with them. Our government wants us to be divided. They want us to hate each other. They want the power and know the best way to get it is to divide the populace. Please, stand up as American and stop this infighting. We have lost too much already and stand to lose much more if we can't speak with one voice. Remember, whatever freedom you take from another is also taken from you.

I am about in the middle on about everything, However I believe in very small Govt.
The Liberals on the Far far left seem to have an agenda to tell me what to say do think and feel.
Everything from Health care, to Abortions, to the Fairness Doctrine and everything in between and they want taxes to pay for these things.
I won't deny Abortions to anyone who wants one, HOWEVER they will not use my tax dollars to provide them.
Plus I believe it is not a far distance from withholding funds from the troops to spitting on them when they return.
Anyone who disgraces something (Troops, US Military uniform, American flag) I would be willing to give up my freedom to defend it if no one else will.

Well said, bravo. It won't stop, the two party system encourages the us and them mentality and the ideology is worlds apart. If it weren't we would have national health care in a not for profit system instead of a for profit system that screws people out of the benefits they pay to receive and rewards CEO's with millions each year to screw us. If the line about shareholders were true, there would be no such thing as "shorting" a stock or hedge funds. That's not investing in America, that's greed and manipulation.

In order to understand what someone supports, a name has to be attached. When the socialists and capitalists oppose one another, it really doesn't matter what name is used, it is the underlying principles that is important.
Yes, we are divided. Yes, there are probably people who want to see us divided as a nation.
And yes, even socialists and capitalists have things in common. All want what they think is best for themselves, their children and their nation. But it is the differences in opinions that seperate us, and I don't see any solution to that fact of reality. It comes down to who is in the majority, like it or not.
